How often do you buy a new computer? After two years? Four? For such complex products, we go through them pretty quick, and that adds up to a lot of ultra harmful e-waste.

It’s something computer companies are already striving for, but designer Je Sung Park is taking the idea of a recyclable computer to its furthest limits. His Recyclable Paper Laptop is made from pulp and reprocessed materials, and would be broken down into the same when all is said and done.

Template – Ai Wei Wei

‘Template’ is made from wooden doors and windows from demolished Ming and Qing Dynasty houses (1368-1911). The internal part of each wall is shaped according to the volume of a hypothetical traditional Chinese temple.  The selected area, not the material temple itself, tells you that the real physical temple is not there, but constructed through the leftovers of the past. In 2007 the structure collapsed during a storm. Ai Wei Wei said: “It’s better than before, now the power of nature is in evidence, and art only becomes beautiful through this kind of emotion”.

Mensen zijn gebonden aan bepaalde objecten die al heel hun leven meegaan. Plots breekt het einde aan ->

KAPOT. Veelal wordt er emotioneel gereageerd.  Hoe moet het verder?, meestal wil men geen afscheid nemen,

allerlei oplossingen worden gevonden. Het einde niet aanvaarden..
